First and foremost, check with your landlord before you put up any type of wallpaper. (As a person with rental properties, I can tell you many landlords will keep your security deposit if they have to strip wallpaper they didn’t put there once you leave). Self-stick wallpapers, in my experience, are harder to get off than regular paste ones. The reason is that self-stick papers cannot easily be steamed off. While they will not take the paint off underneath, they will leave damage (sticky residue) to the walls. I know that wasn’t the answer you wanted to hear–sorry to rain on your parade 🙁 I’m sure you’ll come up with something!
