Has anyone used a dog wheel chair?
My advice is to do the kind thing for the dog and put him to sleep. I have used a wheelchair for a dog who got an acute spinal cord infection. She was a spaniel mix of 35 pounds and lived inside, only outdoors supervised. So I would put her in her wheel chair to go outside and we would hang out. Then she would get tired and I would take the wheelchair off and we would lounge in the sun. THEY HAVE TO BE SUPERVISED when they are in the wheelchair, they can not be left unattended. My dog made a full recovery, and lived many long healthy years after that. Your dog is not a candidate for a wheelchair. Since you make no mention of any arthritis medications that he is on, I suggest you take him into the vet and discuss those options or if being PTS is the kindest thing.
