Has anyone tried Woolite washing liquid – does it work as well as Persil?
I am using the full range and I find it excellant. I always used to use Dreft for my colours but with my new washing machine I sometimes get whitish marks on coloureds when using powder due to it being a cold fill machine. The main thing to note though is that the woolite all fabrics, woolite colour and woolite darks are replacements for standard detergents. If you are washing delicates like woollens/cashmere/silk you still need the Woolite Delicates. This is the same as the Woolite cold water wash you used to buy to hand wash delicates by soaking but has been advanced so you can use it in the washing machine for machine washable delicates. Although I use the full range I still use Persil powder for a hot wash (for my towels) once a week. This maintains the washing machine and removes any detergent residues that build up in the machine in particular if you use liquid detergent. Powders contain bleaching agents whilst liquids don’t.
