I’m a new member to this board. Please excuse the long first post. My 12 yr old boy was just diagnosed with TS a couple months ago. It was the facial angiofibromas that caught it, confirmed with CT scan. No seizures or mental impairment whatsoever so far. He also had a large Shagreen patch on his back (its gone now – see below). After the shock wore off I began researching medical journals online through the California state library to learn more about TSC, rapamycin research, and details of the mTOR suppression model explaining the mechanics of the disease. I’d like to know if anyone has experience with what I’m about to describe. There is a class of natural compounds called bioflavonoids that have anti-tumor properties (also anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and other beneficial effects) that may be helpful in controlling TS progression. The research I found was mostly focused on cancer tumors (more research money), but there may be some overlapping benefit with TS tumors. It seems log
