Has anyone taught their dog sign language?
You can definitely teach them commands with your hands. But as far as speaking to your dog completely like that, you probably can if you really know what you’re doing and spend the time to teach him. Try buying a clicker, available at most pet stores. Teach him that everytime he hears a click, it means he gets a treat. Then go from there. When he completes a trick properly, give him a click. He’ll stop everything he’s doing and wait for his treat. Use treats that are very small so that he only gets just a taste and will keep him motivated. Nature’s Recipe treats are great for trick training.
