Has anyone taken paxil and had a positive experience?

I’ve taken Paxil for depression on two different occasions. I found it worked much better than Prozac or Zoloft and I experienced few side effects. It helped normalize my mood, sleep, appetite and energy levels.

Paxil is the most commonly used antidepressant in the world. In the US however, doctors typically prescribe from a choice of many. Paxil is prescribed more for people with irritable depression. Lexapro and Cymbalta are very commonly prescribed today if you are just starting to take antidepressants. These have typically less side effects. Personally, I suffer from suicidal depression, severe panic disorder and bad OCD. Most of the other SSRI’s at high dose did nothing for my symptoms. I have been on a very high dose of Paxil (80 mg per day) for many years now. It takes away all my symptoms, and I have no side effects. I don’t know what I would do without Paxil. Thank goodness they have it, because the others seem to be too weak.
