Has anyone stayed at the Indra Regent Hotel Bangkok, and is it a good choice?

I haven’t stayed there, but have been by it many times. It’s in a good location for shopping and eating but there’s not a lot of nightlife nearby and the area around there isn’t the prettiest place to stay in Bangkok. There’s shopping right in the hotel complex and a short walk to the Pratunam markets, the Platinum Mall, Central World Plaza Mall. It’s also not far from Siam Square, Siam Paragon and not too far from the MBK Mall. Much of the hotel is on a very busy street and it’s about a fifteen minute walk to the BTS Skytrain. If you’re coming to Bangkok for shopping it’s a good location, for nightlife you could do better. Most hotels offer free breakfast, many have pools and and many more have better locations.
