Has anyone received a phone call from 08000 237397 claiming to be the tax office?
Do not ever answer the questions over the phone ask them to send anything in writing and respond via your local tax offical/office they will understand and shouldn’t put up any resistance but whatever you do do not unless you are 110% certain give out any details. The reason I know this is I gave details to a company claiming I owed £200 to sky as I’d just moved house I didn’t query it and gave my cc details name dob etc. 2 years later I am now in IVA and struggling for the next 5 years cos my ID was stolen. It is now my goal to make people aware through websites like this one.
