Has anyone personally acquired HSV2 after already having genital HSV1?
Well you can get HSV2 as well as HSV1 on your genitals, they come from the same virus but they are slightly different strands of it. So having one doesn’t always give you immunity towards getting the other. I have HSV1 and HSV2 down there. I hardly get out breaks any more after having it for 4 years and out breaks are supposed to get less sever over time. If you change your diet (even when on vacation) and boost your immune system then you can have fewer and less sever out breaks. If your partner is giving you oral sex then they are not likely to get it on the mouth if you don’t have an out break as they are giving you oral sex. Any type of genital herpes is rarely passed from the genitals to the mouth and it’s more likely to happen while there are any signs or symptoms of an out break.
