Has anyone out there left their wife/husband for someone else and the new relationship has worked out?

I don’t have any examples where this has happened. But in my own thoughts, i don’t think someone should ever leave their current partner/spouse/husband/wife for another, if they leave they should do so because they have tried everything to make the current relationship work, and there is nothing i repeat NOTHING to keep them together. Then if there is someone there for them then fair enough. If someone falls for someone while they are in a relationship, then generally the ‘newness’ ‘spark’ ‘excitement’ ‘fresh stirring of new feelings’ is soo fresh that it can overpower your judgement and feelings for your current partner, so inevitabley if you leave for that other person, soon enough that ‘newness’ is gone and you realise that you left for the wrong reasons and want back with the partner you left. ‘The grass is greener syndrome’. I understand that some people meet ‘the love of their lives’ and ‘soul mates’ while in a relationship, and go for the grass is greener and it all works out pe

I know people that it has worked for, my best friend left her husband of 14 years for her new love. She married her childhood sweetheart, but it all went wrong and they kind of grew apart. She has been with her new love for 7 years and they have been through a lot together, including her new love being brain injured in a very serious motor bike accident. They have a little boy and are due to be married in 3 weeks.

my partner left his ex for me, we are really happy and are getting married next year but it was so hard to get where we are now so is it worth the risk, his ex hounded me for months constantly getting the police to mine saying i was harassing her telling everyone who would listen horrible lies about me and even saying she was having an affair with him, ill admit it gave me doubts everyday wondering what was going to happen next and it scared me wondering if he was worth it, but I’m glad i did because he is and were so happy so it can work but only if you let it and expect hassle at the beginning.
