Has anyone on answerbag ever been in a REAL BAD CAR ACCIDENT?
I witnessed a horrible accident about 25 years ago. We were driving between Roswell, NM and Clines Corners, NM. There was a pickup in front of us with 6 children in the back. This was before the laws outlawing this were in force. The man driving the pickup truck swerved into the path of an oncoming panel van. The head-on collision that resulted caused the children in the back of the pickup to be thrown violently from the truck. They looked like 6 rag dolls flying through the air. I can still see this image in my mind like it was yesterday. Everyone involved in the wreck was killed. That included 3 adults in the pickup, the 6 children and two people in the van. It was the most horrible thing I have ever seen in my life and I hope I never see anything like that again. I ran up to try and help but everyone was way past any help from a human source. I have never driven down that highway again even though it has meant having to drive over a hundred miles out of my way to avoid it.
