On They Might Be Giants’ 1996 album Factory Showroom they perform a song called “XTC vs. Adam Ant”. It would appear that They Might Be Giants are XTC fans, as they also perform the track “25 O’Clock” on the XTC tribute album A Testimonial Dinner: The Songs of XTC. Gineen says of “XTC vs. Adam Ant”: Great song………..and the violin bits lend to XTC melodies…..
