Has anyone heard about Ortho-TriCyclen & gall bladder problems?
I have been seeing all the news about Yaz/Yasmin & gall bladder disease, and it made me wonder if Ortho-TriCyclen might have the same side effects. I took it for about 3 months when I was 17 and it started causing heart palpitations so I got off of it, and then later I took it for another 2-3 months later on and then started trying to get pregnant so I got off of it. After I had my first son (at 21) I had to have my gall bladder out 2 weeks later (after delivery). I’m just curious, I hadn’t ever thought about it until after I heard all this other news and just wondered if anyone knows about it. Thanks so much for your time! The docs did tell me that pregnancy could cause this, my son wasn’t breech though. I did have to have a c-section. They couldn’t believe that I had as many gall stones as I did at my age. I had 60 very large ones and an innumerable amount of tiny ones, the doctors were dumbfounded at that many at only 21 years old! It was pretty crazy to me too!
