Has anyone have information about Chinese alternative treatment for depression?
Depression as a term is not in the Chinese medicine terminology as such – what Chinese medicine will endeavour to do is promote movement of energy (QI) and restore balance – this may sound airy fairy – but the results are amazing – the practitioner could incorporate a combination of Acupuncture , Chinese herbal medicine (either raw plants or in powder format ) and if they know – they will include auricular acupuncture (Ear acupuncture) which is of major benefit for those will “Shen”- conscious/mind disruptions . it is hard to explain an exact treatment protocol which would be followed since , all humans are different and at different stages or phases or illness – some people would need tonification of the body , that is if they are lacking something . Or sedation or reeducation if there is too much of something. or thirdly they may just need movement of there stagnation / blockages .
