Yes, I can guarantee that we have all had ligament pain during pregnancy, especially after 28 weeks. There are several things that can be happening. Pain that goes down the back of your legs is usually caused by pressure on the sciatic nerve. (You might also have pressure on your carpal tunnel nerve in your wrists closer to giving birth….I couldn’t even lift a cup of coffee without thinking my hands would break off at the wrists). I am 31 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby, and I just started having ligament problems (front of abdomen just above the groin area)….but during my first pregnancy, that pain started much earlier. Another type of pain is because the cartilage that holds your pubic symphysis together…(in front of your pubic bone) starts to soften, and weaken, and one side can slip, creating excruciating pain, as if someone has kicked you straight in the pubic bone.
