Has anyone had any luck purchasing homes recently at foreclosure auctions?

There are some really good auction sites out there that have in depth information about the property and the surrounding area. I have purchased several foreclosures with help of a site called realtytrac but it is a little expensive to use their site. My only advice to you is if you want to purchase a foreclosure make sure you have enough money for any necessary repairs and improvements. Buy the property with the intention of keeping it until the market turns around. It is highly unlikely you will sell this property immediately after purchase. It’s smart to have at least 12 months reserves when purchasing. Here is a directory of some more auction sites you should find helpful (lots of free info): http://www.sheriffsalelistings.com/ Best of luck.
