Has anyone had a sprained ankle and it started affecting their knee?

Funnily enough, I was talking to a Physiotherapist earlier today who mentioned that most of the knee pains that people come to him with are actually caused by ankle problems. Basically, when you have an ankle problem or injury you walk differently to try to protect it and make it less painful. This often puts a different kind of pressure on your knees than your usual walking style so your knees start to hurt too. Hopefully, once your sprained ankle is better and you are walking normally again, your knees will stop hurting too. If not, get your GP to have a look. Good luck.
