Has anyone had a Curette done for having no periods?
Hello. My sister had D&C done about a month ago because she has problems with her periods (I am sorry I don’t exactly know her diagnosis but it was not done for the other purposes, that I can say for sure). She had it done with general anesthesia (I think that’s what it’s called, when you just fall asleep and then wake up and everything is done already). She had cramps after but she said it was not too bad, she was also spotting for several days, and her doctor said it was normal. She had to take antibiotics (5 days) that made her drowse, and she was nauseous so we thought it was because of the surgery but after she switched to other antibiotics the symptoms were gone. Overall I think it took a week or so for her to recover completely. For the first couple of days she stayed home but then she was able to even work a little. I hope this helps.
