I am currently expecting baby number 4 and I am booked for my 3rd section, I asked the consultant if there is a limit on the amount of sections a woman can have and he let me know that now that they are performed in the lower segmant of the uterus there is not he same restrictions as has previously been the case. There are women who have gone on to have as many as 7 sections but I was told it very much depends on the individual how safe it is to continue having babies and your consultant will be able to make a reccommendation to you about the condition of your uterus after your section has been preformed as apparently they thin a little with each section. So as far as I know if the staff have concerns about how safe it would be for you to get pregnant again then they will discuss this with you. For some woman that could be after just 2 sections for others it could be quite a few.
