Well you’ve got two, maybe three options. You should either create more diverse structured workouts or swim with a Masters Group in your area. You can also mix in different strokes to spice things up and give you more feel for the water. Having a structure would break up the monotony of the workout, especially when combined with a mixture of strokes. A 100 meter warmup and 1000 swim is way boring. Also the drill set should be at the beginning and middle, not at the end. My morning swims have a mix of swim strokes, drills, and timed intervals.
