Has anyone found an alternative food for a dog that has a lot of allergies?
Don’t think in terms of brand of dog food. Instead think in terms of the ingredients in the formula. The best bet is to have your vet do a sensitivity test and find out exactly what needs to be eliminated from the food formula. Without doing that it is a matter of trial and error. If you want to use trial and error look for formulas that have as few ingredients as possible, the more complicated the formula the more likely it is that allergens will still be in it. Also do not forget about atopic allergens, more dog are allergic to the grass that they poop on than are allergic to the food that they eat.
