Has anyone ever used 12 lb test on the 3000 model?

I like the comfort/smaller size of the 3000 model vs. the 4000 series. However, the 3000 series is rated for 10 lb test. I just feel more comfortable using 12 lb test due to the ever occasional 10 lb plus fish down here in the south.
