Has anyone ever had any problems letting their property through Northwood Lettings?
I haven’t used Northwood but with all lettings agents it is important that you read all the small print on the agreement to make sure you check for any added costs. I have known agents that charge £10 for every letter they write to you regardless of whether you feel the letter needed to be sent or was just a money making exercise. I believe Northwood do a guaranteed rent scheme whereby they in effect become the tenant so you know that you will be getting rent at all times even if the property is empty. This is good if you are concerned about void periods but the monthly amount they take as a charge will be higher as they are taking the risk for you. This doesn’t suit everyone but certainly has a place in the marketplace.
