Has anyone ever had a possessive/clingy mother in law?
I completely understand. My mother in law is very similar. When I had our son she stayed with us for a week and it was the longest week of my life. Don’t get me wrong, I love her to death and appreciate everything she does for us, but she is also very possessive of him. I know when she is around I won’t get to hold my son very much and that she loves when we leave him there alone with her. It is hard for me to bite my lip sometimes, too, but that’s what we have to do. You just have to remember she doesn’t mean any harm and she is just really excited to see her grandchild… and also that she will be gone in a few days.
