It could be simple genetics: are you or your partner very thin, or have a high metabolism? It sounds to me like your baby is doing just fine, and there is no reason to worry. Your baby was big at birth, but you should be calculating weight gain from her lowest weight, as most babies tend to lose weight after birth. I had a horrible time with weight gain, just very recently. My son would gain great one week, nothing the next, then an ounce, and even lost a little weight in the process.
