Measuring a half of a scoop is tricky and probably won’t be exact, which can cause problems. You can make 4 ounces, then pour the extra 1 ounce into a different bottle and put it in the refridgerator until the next feeding. Formula can be refrigerated for 24 hours, so that would be fine. You don’t have to discard the extra ounce. You can also make 12 ounces and pour that into 4 bottles of 3 ounces and keep the extras in the fridge. If you really want to measure half scoops, there is a way you can do it. Each scoop is 8.6 grams. If you can find some way of measuring 4.3 grams, like on a kitchen scale that weights in grams, you will be fine. It’s funny, because we think about it in scoops, but the scoops aren’t measured in volume, but in weight.
