Has anyone been put on progesterone after two miscarriages?

In the UK they don’t normally take any action until after three consecutive miscarriages. At that point they investigate to see if they can find a reason, if they do find one then any action they take would be based on that reason. So if you were miscarrying due to hormone deficiencies or a blood clotting disorder then they would give you progesterone or baby aspirin. If they didn’t find a cause (and often, they don’t) then they wouldn’t take any specific action in any future pregnancies. Having said that though, it doesn’t hurt to ask your doctor. If the funding is there and it has been approved for use by your local NHS Trust or by NICE then go for it. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I know it’s awful. I had a complete miscarriage at 6 weeks and a missed miscarriage at 14 weeks. But there is hope, between the first one and the second one I had a little boy. Just because it has happened before doesn’t mean it will happen again.
