Has any women used the Marina coil?

I went to Halfords for a Marina coil but they never had one in stock, they gave me one for a Rover 25 and said that it was practicly identical and would do the trick.

I had a copper coil for 4 years and the whole time had nothing but problems. Unlike the Marina, the copper coil does not have hormones however, my periods were very heavy (bleeding for 10 days heavy) and the rest of the month was just constant stomach aches and pains. Interestingly, I also started to suffer from IBS after it was fitted and never even knew this existed before having the coil! (you know sometimes before your period you get a bit of an upset tummy – it was like that all month). Anyway, I had it removed three weeks ago, IBS stopped instantly – I am contemplating the mini pill but want to see what a “normal” (i.e. without the coil) period is like before deciding. They are for some people but not for everyone.

i agree with the person above, the coil from hell it sure took me to hell and back, had it in for 4 months then had to have it removed left me with an infection that has taken nearly 2 months to properly clear up wish i had never had it fitted, would not recommend it to anyone.
