Has any preliminary work commenced at the proposed site and/or vegetation been disturbed prior to any approval from the EPA?
Minor works have been undertaken at the proposed site as part of investigation works and to enable the collection of survey data. The same investigations occurred within the other two potential sites, prior to them being eliminated. The investigation works involved the construction of a groundwater investigation well, while the survey information at the proposed site, which has been obtained to enable the concept and detailed design of the facility, has involved the removal of limited vegetation. The Flora & Fauna reports from Atlas of Victoria Wildlife (AVW) were obtained from DSE Melbourne, week of 19 February. They show 187 species on the State Lists. Birds Mammals Reptiles & Amphibians were included. (Vertebrates). Of these there were 5 Listed under the Flora & Fauna Guarantee Act 1988(Vic). 2 Endangered, 6 Vulnerable, 5 Nominated.
