I am glad you got a second opinion about the “normal”diagnosis, now be sure to follow up in getting more info about those meds…i agree that the pharmacy is a good place to ask questions. Have you considered allergies as the cause…such as baby’s diet(could be allergic to something in milk/formula and you could switch brands) or allergy to soap/lotion/detergents. I also had exzema after giving birth to my second son, spurred on by preg.hormones and it can be treated by avoiding these irritants. Also, as far as diet, i hope you have not started feeding him baby foods as this introduction could cause rash/allergy. When he does begin baby foods, try one at a time to eliminate allergies and go organic, it is so worth the extra dime. Last, to keep baby comfortable, be sure his skin gets plenty of air by not putting too much clothing/blankets. Overheating will make rash worse, so dont overheat room temp either. I hope this information helps, and I hope your baby does get better real soon.
