Halitosis from Sleep Apnea?

0

I have been having chronic halitosis for almost 3 years now. I have been to 2 breath specialists, an ENT, Periodontist, dentist, etc. I have periodontal disease. I have had it for a long time. I just had the deep root planning gum cleaning. I use the hydrofloss 2 times a day. I am overweight and have severe sleep apnea which dries out my mouth. I do use the peridex mouth rinses and the chloride dioxine mouth rinses. I use a tongue scraper, and nothing has worked. I am curious if the sleep apnea is the main cause or not. The breath specialist seems to think so. I do have 6mm periodontal pockets. So my main question is, would the source be from my periodontal disease or the sleep apnea?
