Guys aged 16-25! Do you believe that the Talk to Frank anti-drug advertisements would stop you taking drugs?
Depends which talk to frank advert you’re talking about – i assume you mean the pablo the drug mule one, voiced by David Mitchell. They are doing their best to get people interested by making them laugh but the humour is a little bit weak and won’t appeal to alot of people. Also mitchell is very middle class and you can’t really imagine him knowing anything about drugs so the adverts seem quite hollow. However, the talk to frank ad that got me was the one i provided a link to below, with the different guys in the brain representing different reactions to smoking weed. i got really stoned a while ago and that ad came into my head and it gave me a panic attack! I don’t know how they are going to reach their target audience of young people like me, because i think we’re so cynical that we’ll reject any attempts to eductae us using humour, or to frighten us.
