Gschem segfaults when I delete components on FC5 (and other Linux distributions)! Is there a work-around?

This bug emerged in mid 2006 for users of Fedora Core 5 (and other linux distributions that use glib 2.10.x). The bug has been fixed by the developers; the latest versions of gEDA/gaf (i.e. Oct 2006 and beyond) shouldn’t have this problem. If you happen to have an older version of gEDA/gaf, you can work around this bug by setting the environment variable G_SLICE to “always-malloc”.
