Grundfos Central Heating Pump Problem? Help!?

The leak on your pump could have been caused by a worn gasket. To change the pump, you will have to disconnect the electric cable to the pump . the best way to remove the pump itself, is to turn of the isolation valves and hold the valve on one side with your pump pliers. this is to stop the valve turning while you undo the big nut with a pair of 12inch stilsons. then do the same to the other big nut. use plumbers jointing paste only to the new washers that come with the new pump. you may have to vent air from the pump when you open the valves again.Read the instructions with the pump as how to do this.
