Building codes generally require a thermal barrier over foam insulation. In the application you describe you will need to cover the foam with more than paint. If you just want to cover the fiberglass insulation and the PINK side is exposed, you can cover it with any breathable material. If the paper side of the Fiberglas™ insulation is exposed it should be covered with a thermal barrier.
