GRAND NATIONAL WINNER – WINNERS, ARE THEY BORN OR MADE?
Winners don’t come much more determined than the 2008 Grand National Winners – Timmy Murphy, and his team. Even the words Grand National conjure up a sense of thrill but also a sense of anticipation. How do you plan and prepare to win such a horse racing event, what do you need to do to win such a race as the Grand National? Imagine what was going through the winner’s minds at the beginning of this prestigious horse racing event, no doubt there would have been some mild trepidation. Overcoming personal addiction for Timmy Murphy meant the win would have been even sweeter. Are winners born or are they made? I’m sure when the grand national race comes around there will be a lot of jockeys and trainers asking themselves this question, whether they are talking about the horse they are racing or the jockey who is riding.
