When you’re chatting on the Google Talk client, you can initiate a transfer by dragging and dropping files and folders in the chat window. You can send any sort of file, and any size. You’ll see a download status bar for larger downloads with an estimated time to completion. Large files, such as videos, may take a long time to transfer – but you can keep chatting in the meantime!
