Google Maps or Map Quest – Which is Better?
Google Maps, but now he insists I use only Map Quest. At first I wasn’t terribly pleased with this change but now that I’ve been using Map Quest for some time, I’ve come to think it is better than Google Maps – in almost every way. Here’s my comparision of the two sites. First of all, I prefer the opening page to Map Quest better than Google Maps. On Map Quest you are offered either to find just one place on the map or you can scroll down the page a touch and go directly to the directions option. Google Maps makes you either click onto their “get directions” link or first put in the starting address and then hit “from” in order to get directions from that place to the next address. This means less clicking on Map Quest, and that’s always a good thing. I’ve also found that through Google Maps, when searching for a certain address or business, they end up giving you a whole bunch of options that often aren’t related to your search.
