V: A meat-eater cannot be a devotee of God. Because with the tama sic food the meat is, his thoughts also become tama sic and never satvic. Any number of real devotees of God that lived in the world did not take meat and gave it up subsequently if they had been consuming it earlier. They understood the path of divine light lying inside. God’s devotees cannot be found among the meat-eaters. Those who claim that they are so while keeping with meat eating are bogus men. They possess sinful qualities. Only those who are vegetarians could invoke god. Hence meat is to be abandoned always.
