Good shopping in China/Hong Kong?
Hong Kong was a shopping mecca! I shopped at the Jade market in Hong Kong and the merchants are all prepared to bargain. You can get a better price if you buy multiple items at teh same stall. When you sak the price, offer them only 1/2 of that. They will try to make you feel bad about your offer, and be prepared to walk away when they counter you. They will then follow you and make a better offer. Trust me on this. Even when they sell it to you at 60% off the asking price, they are still making a profit. The night market in Hong Kong should not be missed. You can get a lot of great deals there. We bought a suitcase for $4 to take all the extra stuff home in that we purchased in Hong Kong. You can get a custom made suit with three custom made shirts for $140. You should look at all the fancy stores on Nathan Lane, but buy all of your souveniers at the night markets.
