Good Grief! Whats wrong with a .38 Special?

Nothing wrong with it at all! Good cartridge, good gun. Get in some range time and practice with it so you can get good shot placement if the need arises. When it comes down to it, a well placed shot with a small caliber can be just as effective as the biggest hand cannon.

The .38 special is almost the ballistic equal of the 9mm. Those guys are full of themselves. The .38 special was the standard police round from the 1st world war until the 1980’s.

For defence, nothing is wrong with a .38 special. I’m satisfied with a 380, but I’ll get thumbs down for sure. Anything that will do the job is fine.

Who said anything was wrong with it. It’s decent for HD and will do the job.

Nothing is wrong with a .38. Accuracy and control under pressure is what’s important. Also, living in the city, you don’t want any rounds going through walls. One of the safest rounds you can get is a hollow point. It is designed to mushroom or fragment on impact. This will keep it from going through things and hitting unintended targets. Don’t start listening to people who say hollow points should be banned. They obviously don’t know anything about guns or ammo. After all, does it really matter how hurt someone is if you are shooting them in the first place?
