Given the current economic conditions, has any thought been given to temporarily dropping fees to help those that are struggling?
While the board is very sensitive to the current economic environment and its effects on all SRCA residents it could not adopt a budget that reflects reduced assessment income and still maintain the association common areas and amenities at a level the residents have become accustomed to and expect. Fees charged to the association to maintain the common owned association assets did not decrease for 2009. In many cases the cost of maintaining the common areas and amenities for 2009 has increased! As a result the board worked diligently to adopt a budget that could absorb these increases while not increasing the Annual Dues Assessment for 2009.
