Given the changes in question #7, what happens if Stamps Health Services receives room temperature or warm extract vials for my student?
Our goal is to see your student gets allergy injections in a safe and effective manner. However, we realize our goal to be best practice, and communicate our changes effectively, will take time to implement. Therefore, we will accept extract vials per the old process until October 12, 2009. We will begin transitioning to our new process beginning September 7, 2009 by educating students and prescribing allergists via email and US mail. Our website will also be upgraded. After the grace period has ended, Stamps Health Services will not accept extract vials that are not cool-to-touch. In the event we cannot the extract vials we will notify your student and send a letter to your allergist and request they resend the extract vials.
