Coal based Thermal Power Plant at Tuticorin: NLC proposes to put up a coal based Thermal Power Plant at Tuticorin with a capacity of 1000 MW as a joint venture with Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) for which MOU with TNEB signed in 06/2003. Ministry of Power has accorded Mega Power Project status for the project subject to certain conditions. Feasibility Report (FR) is under preparation and Advance action proposal is under implementation for this project.
