Getting very regular strong braxton hicks – could the baby be coming soon…??
While it is possible that regular Braxton Hicks contractions can begin soon before real labor, they are not a reliable sign in many cases. Braxton Hicks contractions are like “practice” contractions and the verdict is varied as to why they happen. There doesn’t seem to be any connection between them and the dilating of the cervix, but may have some effect on the cervical softening process. At 38 weeks, you know the baby is coming soon, probably before a month goes by, but don’t get your hopes up too high that the Braxton Hicks are the sign you are looking for. braxton hicks is just a sign that you’re close to that time of having the baby but it don’t necessarily mean that you’ll have the baby in the next day or so, i remember when i was pregnant with my last child i started getting braxton hicks very early in the pregnancy and my son was overdue, so i guess it all depends on the baby.but maybe you should tell your doctor about what you’re experiencing.Congrats on your baby!
