Getting a Speeding Ticket While Driving a Rental Car – Does it Count?
There is a bit of confusion when it comes to speeding tickets for many people. One common question that is asked in a variety of ways is about if speeding tickets still count against you if you are driving in a rented vehicle. If ticketed, rental or not, these do count, but there is a real exception. The ticket when written by an officer is written against you as a person and not written against the car you are driving. It can be anyone’s car, but the ticket is your problem. Trying to argue otherwise regardless of what you may have heard is pointless.
