George Bartusek, should he have been arrested for public indecency?
George Bartusek was arrested and charged with breach of peace after a group of people witnessed him in the act of “simulated sexual activity” with two blow-up dolls in a public parking lot. He “may” be facing other charges. In Florida, where he was arrested, the law on “lewdness and indecent exposure” states: “Exposure of sexual organs.–It is unlawful to expose or exhibit one’s sexual organs in public or on the private premises of another, or so near thereto as to be seen from such private premises, in a vulgar or indecent manner, or to be naked in public except in any place provided or set apart for that purpose. Violation of this section is a misdemeanor of the first degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083. ” The officer says in his report that Bartusek had a large opening in the crotch area of his shorts. They actually had to put him in a ‘gown’ because he was not wearing underwear. My question is why they did not charge him with public indecency in the first pla
