Generalities BEng or MEng?

Our BEng degrees are three year degrees which provide the foundation for a career in engineering but do not meet the full educational requirements for becoming a chartered civil engineer (see `Can I still get chartered if I get a BEng degree?`). The four year MEng is the most obvious direct route to becoming a chartered engineer but we recognise that some people will want to use their three year degree to move in different career direction or may wish to carry out their educational fourth year in a specialist subject or at a later stage. By adding the right MSc course (ours, of course, is one) it is possible to a BEng degree it is possible to meet the educational requirements for becoming chartered.
