I believe most of they time they don’t. Use general anesthesia, that is. Often women are offered a mild sedative and would receive a local, but putting them fully under is often riskier than the procedure requires. So while you may be drugged up, you’re not unconscious.

i imagine they use both but IV is into your vein like into a vein in ur arm ssee those ones on the inside of ur elbow or the top of ur hand, yop n they dont numb it cause it dont hurt that much the needle donno about abortion 🙁
