Gender equality ends at the pew…..When Muslims practise illegal activities and Discriminate?
Yes, it’s very sad indeed. Would you believe that I was one of those women once? I was in a denial phase and didn’t want to admit to myself that I am NOT to be treated like a second class citizen, and that as a human being I’m an equal and have every right to sit in the front row. Women even wait for men to come out of mosque first before they exit it. It’s humiliating and degrading to be regarded as a ”temptress.” I, as an educated lady, a mother of a wonderful 5-year-old-boy, a home owner, a business owner, etc. certainly have every right to be treated equally. That is not equality! As much as Muslims might try to sugarcoat it – it is not. I’m sorry for ranting here, but this kind of brought some bad memories back. Gosh, I was stupid and brainwahsed! I don’t think though that it’s possible to make such treatments within mosques illegal, since it is after all the way mosques ”work” all over the world. But I do agree on public funding – that’s the least one can do on an individual
